Copyright & DMCA Policy
Overview
LifeOS is a personal productivity service. Users may upload or store their own content (memories, attachments, voice recordings, and similar files) in private accounts. LifeOS respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid copyright complaints consistent with applicable law, including the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) where it applies.
This policy describes how to report alleged infringement involving content stored on LifeOS and how we handle such reports. It does not create a public hosting or sharing platform — LifeOS content is ordinarily visible only to the account holder unless the user exports or shares it themselves outside LifeOS.
LifeOS Intellectual Property
The LifeOS name, branding, software, and documentation are owned by the LifeOS operator and its licensors. Third-party open-source components are credited on the Credits page. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute LifeOS software except as permitted by applicable open-source licenses or with written permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create or upload in LifeOS. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to store and use that content. See our Terms of Service for acceptable use and your responsibilities.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content stored on LifeOS infringes your copyright, send a written notice to our designated contact below. To help us review your report efficiently, include:
- Your full legal name and contact information (email and, if applicable, mailing address).
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (title, URL, or description).
- Identification of the material you claim is infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (for example, the LifeOS username associated with the account, approximate upload date, file name or description, and any reference URL within LifeOS if known).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Where to Send Notices
Copyright / DMCA Agent
Email: support@lifeos.vision
Subject line: Copyright / DMCA Notice
We may request additional information to verify your identity or the claim. Incomplete notices may delay review.
Our Review Process
- We acknowledge receipt of valid-looking notices as promptly as practicable.
- We review the notice for completeness and assess whether the reported material is within our control (content stored in a LifeOS user account).
- Where appropriate, we may disable access to specific reported material, notify the affected account holder, and preserve records related to the complaint.
- We may terminate or restrict accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Because LifeOS is a private productivity tool, removal actions typically affect the specific stored file or account identified in a valid notice rather than a public URL.
Counter-Notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification to the same contact address with:
- Your name, contact information, and signature.
- Identification of the material and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury where applicable that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Consent to jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any judicial district where LifeOS may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complainant.
We may restore material after counter-notification only where permitted by applicable law and after any required waiting period.
Repeat Infringers
Accounts that repeatedly upload or store infringing material after valid notices may be suspended or permanently terminated, consistent with our Terms of Service.
False Claims
Knowingly submitting a false infringement notice or counter-notification may expose you to liability under applicable law. Submit claims only in good faith.
